Almond Chicken

Ingredients:


Chicken- 500g
Potato(peeled,cubed)-1
Onion(small)-1
Green chillies(big pieces)-6
Mint leaves chopped-1/2 bunch
Coriander leaves-1/2 bunch
Salt to taste
Black/normal cumin seeds-1 tbsp
Whole garam masala(bay leaf,cloves,cardamom,cinnamon)
Crushed balck pepper-1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
Yoghurt- 1/2 cup
Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
Crushed almonds(optionla)
Oil-2 tbsp
Lime juice(optional)- 1tbsp
Paste of almonds(12) & coconut(1 1/2 tbsp,freshly grated coconut)
(Soak almonds in hot water for 1 hr before blending)

Method:

Heat oil in a pan and then add whole garam masala,black cumin seeds,crushed almonds,chopped onions,salt.When onions are slightly coloured add ginger garlic paste then add almond & coconut paste.

Cook this mixture till the oil oozes out of the mixture.When mixture well cooked add coriander powder,add green chillies(don't chopped them) and add yoghurt.Mix well.

Add cubes of potatoes,little water,add crushed pepper,chopped mint,coriander leaves and add chopped chicken.Mix well and covered it with a lid and let it cook on medium flame.Stir in between.
Cook till right consistency.Sprinkle coriander leaves.Add little lime juice if you like.
Serve hot with rice or naans/rotis.
